Product DescriptionThis La Pietà Onyx Rosary features tumbled onyx and clear quartz. The centerpiece is hand cast white copper featuring Michelangelo’s Madonna della Pietà. The traditional crucifix is also cast in white copper. Onyx is believed to help establish a connection between the earth and one’s inner self, referred to as grounding. It’s influence is said to help people stay stable and focused in stressful situations, and promote rational decisions. This La Pietà Onyx Rosary measures approximately 26 inches around the loop, with an additional 5 inches for the pendant from the centerpiece to the bottom of the cross. The centerpiece itself is 25 mm (1 inch) long and the crucifix is 45 mm (1.75 inches). Each are hand cast in white copper, which is an alloy of copper with just enough nickel to turn the color of the metal to silver. The wire work is .925 silver plated over copper. These metals are sealed with a high quality protectant which will prevent patina for a time. Eventually, both silver and copper will begin to patina, revealing highlights with your touch.
