This is a great “must have” for the offshore fisherman looking for a high quality Calstar graphite composite fishing rod, the forerunner of the Calstar Grafighters.These Calstar graphite composite blanks feature a graphite core with E-Glass exterior and are comprised of a 75-25 Graphite/E-Glass blend. The result of this blend yields a series of blanks that share the strength benefits of glass with the lightness and sensitivity of graphite. Because of their graphite core, the overall weight of these blanks has been reduced by 20% compared to the Calstar E-Glass models.More durable to bumps and dings than the Grafighter, I’m thinking.
